Formed in November 2008 by participants of Oh Wait, a 2008 minute impro marathon performed as part of the Ken Campbell Metafex Festival. Since then, Impropriety has been running weekly workshops and have a residency at Mello Mello with their fast paced comedy improv show. During that time, Impropriety have been invited to perform at a variety of events including an Organic Cherry showcase, Culturepool’s 2^nd birthday celebrations, Torrid Star Productions’ ‘Can’t Stop The Beat’, and The Kazimier.

            The company relaunched in January 2010 with a sell out show at the Kazimier. In April 2010, Impropriety produced ‘The Last Resort’, a 33 and ½ hour improvathon, also at the Kazimier, with most of its ensemble cast of 25 performing for the entire 2010 minutes. The company is also in the process of producing a documentary about the event in association with Opiate Films. Impropriety’s monthly shows at MelloMello are building a loyal fan base and continue to attract new audiences.

            Impropriety is comprised of people from a wide variety of backgrounds from professional actors to enthusiastic amateurs - all are committed to improvisation.
